Sun Sail 03

 In the interest of "simplicity is best", sun shade 03 uses the minimum of added hardware. There's less to store when dismantled. Only 4 stanchion mounted poles are required instead of multiple folding, interconnecting hoops. I would even suggest fiberglass poles so that they could provide spring tension the same as a fishing rod only stiffer.

 

The sun shade in this drawing is 160cm above the cockpit floor. 

The rear edge of the shade provides room for the boom lines and mast stays without requiring complex zippered slots etc. The pilot will not be protected though.

There are 5 attachment points. 4 poles attached to stanchions, and a zippered connection to the dodger.
